The mission of All American Athlete a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charity, has been to develop and assist young people in becoming better citizens and student-athletes through guidance, encouragement, and instruction. We are as committed as ever to our primary mission of serving the youth in our program.
All American Athlete was co-founded by Heywood and Sue Hunt in 1994. We provide dedicated, driven coaches, teachers, and role models in a safe environment that empowers youth to discover their true potential. We go beyond physical success on the court.
All American Athlete’s village is driven by two programs and one mission, Life Skills and basketball.

President
Sue and I started All American Athlete to develop people that needed a chance they normally wouldn’t be afforded. Life is an opportunity only if you’re prepared, ready, and have information to succeed. Since I lived and experienced developmentally, the All American Athlete system and program was based and developed on what I went through.
Vice President
My association with, and connection to, All American Athlete goes back before it was established in 1994. Being a teammate of Heywood Hunt I was always exposed to the vision. After many years of playing together and after taking over the rights to NorthStar Basketball, in 2020 we decided that our missions were so similar that we decided to bring NorthStars in as the basketball piece of All American Athlete.
In serving as it’s V.P. I am, and will remain committed to the mission of All American Athlete Inc.

The draw for me to get involved in AAA really began with my own daughter. Seeing how these gentlemen treated her, encouraged her, and helped her to be the strong young woman she has become is well worth the time commitment and I want everyone who is interested to have that same opportunity.
Secretary
I was drawn to serve on the board of All American Athlete as the result of raising two daughters who were encouraged and expected to participate in organized sports as an avenue to learn self-discipline, confidence, strength and to share a space whereas young women they would be provided the opportunity and sisterhood to develop their emerging womanhood with likeminded young women. All American Athlete is just such a place. The coaching staff although male dominated allows young women the opportunity to learn how to be heard. They learn to use their voices to articulate their positions without cowering under the weight of the “maleness”.
The coaches are well respected in the community and have shown that they are tuned in to supporting young women and
men in the areas of sports competition, sportsmanship, fellowship, and life skills that will carry them through their journeys.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I’ll have the opportunity to give back to an organization that has given so much to my daughter. I am looking forward to the challenge of growing our organization while engaging the athletes and their families in the mission of All American Athlete both inside and outside the gym.
